Sustainability
Sustainability is something that I don't talk about enough, but is ever present. Whenever I make a decision about my business I carefully consider the environmental impacts and I make eco-friendly choices wherever I can.
I hate waste, I try to minimise it wherever I can and I re-use whatever materials I can. This includes re-using packing materials such as boxes and bubble wrap.
I ensure that all of the paper I use has been harvested in a socially and environmentally responsible manner.
I also opt for recycled paper for some of my materials, but this doesn’t mean sacrificing on quality. A selection of my greeting cards use a premium recycled card which is made from 100% post consumer waste and it is absolutely beautiful.
Instead of packaging my cards in cello bags I choose to wrap them in tissue paper which is not only better for the environment, but also a much nicer experience for you.
My A5 and A4 prints are packaged in a cello bag, but I chose to upgrade to a compostable cello bag despite the fact that they are definitely not the most cost effective option on the market. I also haven’t passed this cost on to my customers as I personally feel that it’s worth choosing the more environmentally friendly option.
My A3 prints are placed in between two pieces of acid free tissue paper for protection, and are carefully rolled up and placed inside a postal tube.
