FAQs

Frames

All of my prints are sold without a frame or a mount. Unfortunately I do not sell framed prints due to the extra cost of packaging and postage. This additional cost would mean that the price would have to be increased dramatically, it is a lot more cost effective for you to purchase a frame individually.

Size details

My prints come in sizes A3, A4, A5 poster sizes. The measurements of these are detailed below. Some prints also include the options for 8” x 10” and 11” x 14”. I can’t list every single size available on my website but I can make prints in most sizes. If you would like a print made to a different size please just get in touch.

A3 - 297mm x 420mm | 11.69in x 16.53in

A4 - 210mm x 297mm | 8.27in x 11.69in

A5 - 148mm x 210mm | 5.83in x 8.27in

Your A3 print will be placed in between two pieces of acid free tissue paper for protection, and will be carefully rolled up and placed inside a postal tube. The best way to make your print flat is to keep it in between the tissue paper and lay it underneath something heavy (a picture frame or a couple of books works well) Please don’t try and curl it backwards as this can damage the paper and cause creases.

Custom and personalised orders

All of my designs can be personalised, if you can't find what you need just get in touch and I'll do my best to help in anyway I can.

If you are purchasing a personalised print please include any details, such as name, date and colour, in the 'note to seller section'.

Receiving a proof of your custom order

If you order a bespoke print I will send you a digital proof after you have purchased your print and sent me your personalisation details. You will receive this to the email account I have on your order within three working days, if you haven’t received it within this timeframe please check your spam folder. This will give you the opportunity to check everything is correct and that you are happy with the order before it is printed. Once you have approved the proof your order will be printed, packed and dispatched.

Paper

I love paper, like really love it, the feel of it, the texture, the smell. Maybe obsession would be a better way to describe my relationship with paper. I'm a little ashamed to say that with that obsession comes a certain level of snobbery, I'm not impressed by any standard piece of copier paper, it's got to be the perfect blend of colour, texture and thickness. It's also got to work really well for that particular project and print option. I'm a bit like Goldilocks when it comes to choosing paper.

It took me a long time to find the perfect paper for my prints, but it was worth it. The paper I use is an award winning photographic paper with an FSC certification. It is a beautiful Matt paper, so there's no sheen, and it's 230gsm which means it's quite thick. For comparison greetings cards are normally 300-350gsm and copy paper is usually 80gsm. It's also an archival paper which prevents your print from fading, although it's best not to place it in a position where it gets constant sun.

My cards are made from a heavyweight uncoated card which has a subtle texture. It is also FSC certified, so not only can you buy a beautiful card, you can feel good about doing it.
