Three ways to embrace the botanical interiors trend

The botanical inspired interiors trend has been around for a while and it certainly isn't going anywhere just yet. Pinterest, the place where trends begin, are calling it biophilic style. Regardless of whether you call it biophilic, botanical or green, this plant inspired trend for interiors is a great trend to incorporate in to your home.

One of the best things about this home interiors trend is that it works well in any room. Jungle inspired children's rooms and nursery's are a fantastic option as they work for any gender and any age. Botanical interiors also work really well in smaller rooms including bathrooms and home offices, just because these spaces need to be practical it doesn't mean they have to be boring.

If you'd like to bring the feel of the outdoors in to your home here are three easy and effective ways to do it.

1. Incorporate lots of different types of green leafy plants in to your home, cluster them together on shelves or in corners to make more of a statement.

2. Make a dramatic feature wall by using bold green paint or a strong leaf print wallpaper.

3. Using botanical inspired prints and furnishings is a really simple, but effective way to incorporate a botanical theme into your home, especially if you don't want to commit to using wallpaper or paint. Leaf print cushions and light fittings alongside a selection of botanical prints can be enough to give a room a theme, without spending a fortune.
