My selection of 'It's a boy' and 'It's a girl’ new baby cards make a beautiful card to give to a new mum to celebrate a new arrival or even a baby shower, but they are most often used as a gender reveal card.
These gender reveal cards are my most popular card by far, using a card is a wonderful way to reveal the gender of your baby to your friends and family, it makes the announcement unforgettable and also gives them a lovely keepsake.
You can also include a copy of your scan photo in the card too, especially if it’s a card to give to baby’s grandparents or your best friend, that way they can share this special moment with you, in a way that they can’t with a text message.
People often get a set of two cards and give both cards to the sonographer and ask them to put the relevant card in the envelope so you can reveal the gender at a later time. This was particularly popular during lockdown when women had to attend the scan appointment alone.
My gender reveal cards have also been used as a way to announce the baby’s gender on instagram and facebook. You could create a flat-lay style photography including some baby items alongside the it’s a boy or it’s a girl card or take a picture of you holding the card.
I know gender neutral colours are important and can be hard to find so I also have the option to have a green coloured heart for your announcement and my bump card can also read ‘the bump is twins’.
